This wonderful fabric has a plush and luxurious surface much like a moleskin or velvet.
Moleskin is a densely woven cotton fabric with a brushed surface that looks like suede or the fur of a mole. This fabric isn’t actually cotton, hence why I have called it moleskin effect. It’s more textured than suede.
Smooth to the touch and has a one way nap, which is to be considered when determining fabric quantities.

This fabric is perfect for jackets, trousers, pinafores, dungarees, jumpsuits, skirts and so on. It’s a good weight and holds some structure (great for A-line pinafores and skirts). It’s not a stiff fabric though –  it’s soft and has a small degree of drape.  It also contains a small amount of elastane which gives the fabric a VERY slight stretch which is perfect for ease of wear.

A wonderful shade of very dark hickory brown. Bang on trend for 2023!
