The background of this lawn is very dark navy (you could be forgiven for thinking it was black), with watercolour effect flowers in blues and pinks.  Fresh green leaves mingle amongst the flowers.  The overall effect is quite striking.

Cotton lawns are soft and fine, so it has a slight drape but still has some structure to it.  This means that it’s a great fabric for gathers, tiers, voluminous sleeves, collars etc
