Description
Wow! This beautiful deadstock fabric is of exceptional quality and really is something special! Very Chanel inspired…
A medium weight fabric similar to a suit fabric, it will be perfect for jackets, structured tops, dresses, skirts, trousers, shorts or maybe even a lightweight coat.
The base colour is black with a slubbed/textured white yarn woven throughout to form a delicate check. Mixed in with the white, is a very subtle multicoloured lurex thread, which gently meanders through the check - It’s not blingy or glitzy, it’s just a very gentle shimmer that adds a lovely touch of interest and makes it a little bit more unique.
I can picture this fabric made up into a little A line skirt with a matching jacket -timeless and so chic! I also rather like the idea of a French jacket and matching a shift dress…
Also available - a pale ivory version available on my website. The ivory colourway has a black check weaving throughout, with a gold lurex thread subtly interwoven. Maybe you could mix and match the two together?
Unfortunately, I don’t know the exact composition of this fabric as it is a dead stock but it is believed to be approximately 80% polyester with 20% wool, which means you can gently wash this fabric on a hand wash cycle in your washing machine or by hand. I would avoid the tumble dryer.
152 cm wide.
Exact composition unknown.
Hand wash cycle, no tumble dry.
