Description
A beautifully balanced cotton and linen blend with all the character you’d expect from natural fibres. It has that unmistakable linen look and feel – softly textured, breathable and easy to wear.
Woven in a subtle herringbone, the fabric reveals a delicate zigzag structure when you look closely. It sits quietly within the weave, adding depth. The yarn-dyed construction gives a gentle two-tone, almost shot appearance, where ivory and soft blue threads work together to create a beautifully muted azure shade that shifts slightly as the light moves across it.
There’s a very light lustre running through the cloth – nothing shiny, just a soft, natural sheen that catches the light in a gentle way. It’s lightweight and fluid with a lovely relaxed handle, making it ideal for shirts, blouses, dresses and easy summer trousers.
As with all beautiful linen-rich fabrics, there is a natural tendency to crease. It’s part of its character rather than a flaw, and something those who love working with linen will already appreciate.
Because it is a cotton and linen blend, it does hold a little structure. This makes it ideal if you’re looking for a bit of body or volume, and it presses beautifully for details like cuffs, collars and crisp tailoring elements.
This is a deadstock fabric, and like all good natural fibre cloths, it feels breathable, soft and easy to wear. A perfect choice for summer sewing projects where you want something effortless, elegant and considered.
