Description
This gorgeous leafy print is striking without being overpowering, with a pale ivory background covered in overlapping leaves and branches in a beautiful palette of olive, moss, deep forest and softer muted greens.
The leaves have a wonderful painterly quality, with the different shades softly blended together rather than appearing as solid blocks of colour. Darker stems and touches of almost-black green add definition, while the ivory backdrop keeps the whole print feeling fresh.
The fabric itself is a lightweight woven viscose blend with plenty of drape, fluidity and movement. It feels beautifully soft and smooth, but look closely and there’s a very subtle texture to the surface, giving it just a little extra interest. It’s opaque with no stretch, and the addition of polyamide also helps with crease resistance – always a welcome bonus in a fabric made for flowing, easy-to-wear clothes.
This would make some fabulous dresses, floaty skirts, blouses, shirts and tops, wide-leg trousers and relaxed jumpsuits. It’s particularly well suited to garments where you want plenty of movement and a fabric that will fall softly around the body.
It’s also a really lovely transitional fabric. Wear it through Spring and Summer with sandals, then carry it straight into the cooler months with tights, boots, jackets and layers of knitwear. Those gorgeous greens will work beautifully across the seasons.
