This beautiful designer dead stock cotton comes from a high-end fashion house, renowned for its fabulous shirts - and if you know your designers, the rainbow stripe might just give it away!
It’s a true shirting weight cotton, very similar to a cotton poplin (heavier than a lawn), so it has that little bit of substance and body, while feeling smooth and refined. The quality is absolutely superb - softly crisp, beautifully woven and a dream to press, making it perfect for sharp collars, cuffs and clean lines. It is also a dream to sew!
Although it was clearly designed with exceptional shirts in mind, it’s not limited to shirting. It would make wonderful sundresses, tops, play suits and, as it has just the right amount of structure to create lovely gathers and soft tiers, a dress or skirt would be wonderful too. Polished, joyful and full of colour!
