These fabric pumpkins are such a lovely way to bring a little autumn into your home – and they’re certainly not just for Halloween. Pop one on a mantelpiece, shelf or windowsill, use it to dress an autumn table, or make a few in different fabrics and group them together.
The beauty of this kit is that everything has been carefully put together for you. If you love the patchwork look of a pumpkin made from several different prints, you only need a small amount of each fabric to create it. This kit gives you six coordinating prints for the body, in just the quantities you need, along with complementary fabrics for the stem and leaf. It’s a lovely way to get all that variety without having to buy larger pieces of six different fabrics – and with very little left over.
Your kit also includes my Sew Your Own Fabric Pumpkin printed pattern, which takes you through the project step by step, along with the stuffing, fusible fleece and thread you’ll need to complete your pumpkin.
Choose your fabric option
There are two gorgeous fabric combinations to choose from. Simply select Tilda Wallflower or Andover Nightfall from the drop-down box when ordering.
Tilda Wallflower
A beautiful mix of six coordinating Tilda prints from the Creating Memories collection:

Both options include Makower Linen Texture fabric for the stem and leaf, with colours chosen to complement the fabrics in each kit.

Skill level
Confident beginner
You’ll need to be able to thread and use your sewing machine and sew a straightforward seam. The pattern will guide you through making, stuffing and shaping your pumpkin, adding the stem and creating the leaf.
You’ll just need your usual sewing equipment, including a sewing machine, hand-sewing needle, scissors, iron and a few basic sewing tools.
The pattern uses a ¼” seam allowance, so a ¼” seam foot is really handy and makes keeping your seams consistent nice and easy. Many sewing machines come with one, but don’t worry if yours doesn’t – it isn’t essential and you can still make your pumpkin using your regular sewing machine foot.
Once you’ve made your first pumpkin, the pattern is yours to keep, so you can delve into your fabric stash and make plenty more in your own choice of fabrics.
