Whether you’re looking to elevate your sewing skills, tackle a challenging project, or simply enjoy some dedicated time for sewing in good company, Sewing Club is the perfect place to do it!
Sewing Club is designed as a supportive, small-group workshop where you can bring along your own dressmaking project and enjoy two hours of expert guidance from our wonderful tutor, Emma Smith. Whether you’re starting something brand new each session or working steadily on an ongoing project, Emma is on hand to help you every step of the way — from tricky techniques and fitting adjustments to overcoming those “stuck” moments we all encounter.
With a calm, encouraging teaching style, Emma creates a space where you can build confidence, refine your skills, and truly enjoy the process of sewing. Limited to just 5–6 participants, each session ensures plenty of individual attention, making it suitable for all abilities (as long as you’re comfortable using a sewing machine).
Sewing Club is more than just a workshop — it’s a chance to connect with like-minded people, share ideas, and spend a couple of hours immersed in creativity. With quality Janome 5060 QDC sewing machines, brand new Janome ML654D overlockers, and Oliso irons and ironing boards available to use, you’ll have everything you need for a productive and enjoyable session.

• Small group size of 5–6 people for plenty of individual support
• Suitable for all abilities (confidence using a sewing machine required)

Tea, coffee, and biscuits or cake are provided — because sewing is always better with a little treat!

📍 The studio & location
The Sewing Studio is located within The Fabric Boutique,
5 Rushtons Yard, Ashby de la Zouch, Leicestershire, LE65 1AL
The studio is accessed via a flight of stairs.
During your visit, you’re welcome to browse the shop for fabrics and supplies — and if you spend over £25 on the day of your workshop, you’ll receive 10% off your purchase.
🚗 Parking
Please note the nearby Rushtons Yard car park has a maximum stay of 3 hours (charges apply).
⏰ Arrival & booking
Please arrive at least 10 minutes before your session so we can begin promptly.
Pre-booking is essential, as places are limited and secured upon full payment. Bookings can be made via the website or in-store.

• Places are confirmed once payment has been made in full
• Fabric Boutique gift cards can be used as full or part payment
• Workshops are for ages 18+
• A minimum of 3 participants is required for the workshop to run
• All bookings are subject to our cancellation policy
❗ Cancellation & refunds
• If we cancel the workshop, a full refund will be issued
• Cancellations made 14+ days in advance are eligible for a full refund or transfer
• Cancellations within 14 days are non-refundable
• Refunds are processed immediately (please allow up to one week for funds to return)
