Sparrow Falls is one of those collections that has such a lovely timeless feel to it. Designed by Michael Nardi for Andover Fabrics, it brings together sparrows, florals, checks, foliage, tiny coordinating prints and even teapots, all in a wonderfully rich yet easy-to-use colour palette.
Deep Prussian and softer Teapot Blues sit alongside Moss green, warm Cinnamon Red, Flax and soft Ivory, giving the whole collection a classic country feel without making it feel old-fashioned. The prints work beautifully together, with a lovely mix of feature designs and smaller-scale coordinates.
Printed on Andover’s superb quality 100% cotton quilting cotton, Sparrow Falls has the lovely smooth handle and quality you would expect from an Andover collection.
What Could You Make?
Quilts are the obvious choice, and Sparrow Falls would make a particularly lovely quilt with a timeless, almost heirloom feel. But quilting cotton is far too useful to save only for quilts!
Try it for table runners, placemats, napkins, coasters, cushions, bunting, fabric baskets, box pouches, zipped pouches, purses, project bags, Kindle or tablet covers, book sleeves, glasses cases, needle cases, sewing accessories and small gifts. The traditional florals, birds and checks would also be lovely for decorative pieces around the home.
