Description
Broderie anglaise (French, "English embroidery") is a whitework needlework technique incorporating features of embroidery, cutwork and needle lace that became associated with England, due to its popularity there in the 19th century.
This very fine cotton lawn has a pretty cutwork and embroidery pattern in a star/flower pattern.
As this has cut out areas and is quite fine, you may wish to line your garments. I’d recommend my “suprima cotton lawn” as a lining (should you decide to use a lining). This is of course personal preference. I have included a photo of my hand under the fabric for reference.
146 cm wide - 130cm is embroidered.
100% cotton.
Cool wash.
