Description
Lady McElroy are a British textile design house, renowned for their distinctive prints and exceptional quality dressmaking fabrics. This beautiful marbled sandwashed crêpe is no exception, combining a stunning painterly design with a fabric that feels just as lovely as it looks.
Petals in the Rain has a wonderfully soft vintage feel, with loose painterly flowers that give the print an almost hand-painted appearance. The warm terracotta and coral blooms sit beautifully against fresh aqua and leafy green tones, creating a design that’s colourful without feeling overpowering. It’s a timeless floral with an effortless elegance that works beautifully whatever the season.
Woven from 83% EcoVero™ rayon and 17% linen, this beautiful fabric has a soft sandwashed finish with a gentle crêpe texture. It drapes beautifully and has a lovely fluidity, whilst still offering a little more substance than many lightweight dressmaking fabrics, making it easy to wear and a pleasure to sew.
One of the things I love most about this fabric is its beautifully soft sandwashed finish. The fabric has been specially washed to soften the fibres, giving it a gentle crêpe texture, a lovely fluid drape and a relaxed, luxurious feel.
It’s a wonderfully versatile choice for elegant dresses, floaty skirts, blouses, tops and wide-leg trousers. The rich colour palette works beautifully from season to season—wear it with sandals through the warmer months, then simply add boots, knitwear and a jacket when the weather turns cooler.
