Description
A beautifully soft, lightweight stretch denim in a fresh pale aqua blue. Although unmistakably blue, it has a gentle green undertone which gives it a softer, more contemporary look than a traditional pale denim.
Woven from cotton with a small amount of elastane, this fabric has a comfortable stretch running from selvedge to selvedge, with just a little movement across the width too. It has enough body for structured garments whilst remaining supple enough to gather beautifully, making it incredibly versatile.
Its lighter weight makes it an excellent choice for Summer jeans, shorts, skirts and casual jackets, whilst also lending itself to dresses with gentle fullness, shirt dresses, pinafores and utility-inspired styles. It would be particularly well suited to the popular zip-front denim dresses that have become a modern wardrobe staple, including styles inspired by the much-loved Aligne waisted denim dress.
As this is an ex Paul Smith deadstock fabric, the quality is exceptional. It has a beautifully smooth finish, comfortable stretch and the sort of handle that makes it a pleasure to sew as well as wear.
