Description
This jet black heavyweight crêpe is absolutely gorgeous to work with! It has that lovely crêpe texture, feels soft and luxurious in the hand, and the polyester/viscose blend gives it a beautiful drape. There’s a gentle bit of stretch in it too - not enough for knit patterns, but perfect for a little extra ease and comfort when you’re wearing it.
It’s very much a woven fabric, so I’d stick to woven patterns for the best finish.
The weight is similar to a Ponte Roma, but with a softer stretch and a warmer, slightly cosy feel, which makes it ideal for garments with a bit more substance. Think jackets, trousers, skirts and dresses that need structure but still move beautifully. Great for workwear.
A really lovely, reliable fabric that will quickly become a wardrobe favourite.
