Description
Soft, cosy and beautifully tactile, this gorgeous fabric has all the appearance and character of a knitted fabric, with a relaxed feel reminiscent of something that has been knitted by hand.
Although described by the manufacturer as a woven fabric, its unusual construction creates a beautiful knit effect with lots of movement and drape. At 325gsm, it also has a lovely weight and substance without feeling stiff or bulky.
There is no elastane, so I wouldn’t recommend this for patterns that specifically require a stretch fabric. However, the construction does give it a small amount of natural mechanical give and movement.
Perfect for slouchy cardigans, relaxed jumpers, oversized tops, cropped jumpers and cosy sweater or jumper dresses. It would also make a gorgeous scarf, wrap or shawl.
Another lovely feature is that both sides are beautiful. There is technically a right and wrong side, but either could be used depending on the look you prefer - particularly lovely for garments such as waterfall cardigans where the reverse may be visible.
At an extra-wide 163cm, you also get a wonderfully generous width to work with.
