Description
A gorgeous quality 100% cotton yarn-dyed woven, with a wonderfully soft feel and just the right amount of weight for autumn and winter sewing. At 135gsm, it has a little more substance than a lightweight cotton while still being comfortable and easy to wear.
The woven check design is given extra interest by the subtle herringbone-style detailing running through the stripes, adding texture and character without making the pattern feel overly busy.
The fabric is yarn dyed, which means the individual yarns are dyed before the fabric is woven. This creates the design as part of the cloth itself rather than simply printing it onto the surface, giving the fabric lovely depth and a particularly high-quality finish.
Soft, breathable and versatile, it would be fabulous made into blouses, shirts, tops, dresses, skirts and relaxed trousers, as well as easy layering pieces for the cooler months. The weight gives it enough body to hold its shape nicely whilst still remaining soft and wearable.
