It will fall and flow beautifully, yet still hold its own when you want volume - think gathered tiers, full skirts, puff sleeves or softly structured shapes. It presses like a dream too, so collars, cuffs and neat details will look wonderfully crisp.
It’s the weight of a cotton poplin (a little heavier than a lawn) which gives it that reassuring substance without feeling bulky. Because it’s made from natural fibres, it’s breathable and comfortable to wear, making it perfect for dresses, blouses, shirts and skirts.
The colour palette is just beautiful - a soft white base scattered with warm beige, pale honey and the gentlest baby pink, all grounded with delicate touches of black for contrast. Running through it is an incredibly fine gold Lurex thread - very subtle! It’s not scratchy or overpowering, just a delicate shimmer that catches the light and adds something quietly special.
It has a very subtle nod to the timeless elegance you might associate with a house like Burberry - classic, refined and effortlessly chic!
I can see this made into the most beautiful full-skirted dress with buttons down the front, cinched in with a belt or tie, finished with generous puff sleeves. Equally, it would make stunning shirts, blouses and softly structured skirts.
