Join us for our relaxed and friendly Quilt Club – the perfect blend of creativity, connection and time for yourself.
Meeting every two weeks from 1.30pm to 4.00pm, Quilt Club offers a regular opportunity to enjoy dedicated sewing time alongside fellow patchwork and quilting enthusiasts.
Whether you’re working on your first patchwork project or have been quilting for many years, Quilt Club is the perfect place to enjoy friendly support, shared inspiration and good company while working on your own projects.
Quilt Club is designed as a supportive, small-group workshop where you can bring along your own patchwork or quilting project and enjoy 2.5 hours of guidance from our wonderful tutor, Alice Gibbons. A keen and experienced quilter and patchworker, Alice is on hand to help you at every stage of your project, whether you’re planning a quilt, piecing blocks, choosing layouts, adding borders and sashing, quilting your layers, binding a finished quilt, or working on a patchwork or quilted accessory such as a bag, cushion or wall hanging.
Whatever you’re making and wherever you are in the process, Alice will be there to offer advice, encouragement and practical support whenever you need it.
Quilt Club is more than just a workshop – it’s a chance to spend time with people who share your love of patchwork and quilting. Whether you come with a friend or arrive on your own, you’ll be welcomed into a relaxed and friendly group where ideas, inspiration and plenty of conversation are shared alongside sewing projects.
There’s something special about setting aside a few hours to work on a project you enjoy, surrounded by people who understand your enthusiasm for fabric, colour and making. With tea, coffee and cake on hand, Quilt Club is a lovely way to spend an afternoon and become part of a supportive creative community.
Designed to fit around busy lives, Quilt Club is run on a flexible, book-as-you-go basis. There’s no need to commit to a block of sessions – simply choose the dates that suit you and join us whenever you’d like. Whether you come every fortnight or dip in and out throughout the year, you’ll always receive a warm welcome.
Unlike many quilting groups, there’s no need to transport your sewing machine. Simply bring your patchwork or quilting project and make yourself at home in our fully equipped workshop space. Janome 5060 QDC sewing machines, an embroidery machine, Oliso irons and ironing boards are all available to use throughout the session, so you can focus on enjoying your sewing and the company of fellow quilters and patchworkers. Tea, coffee and a little something sweet are, of course, included.

• A 2.5 hour patchwork and quilting workshop
• Held fortnightly from 1.30pm – 4.00pm
• Small group size of 6 people for plenty of individual support
• Suitable for all abilities (some beginner experience of patchwork is required)

The Sewing Studio is located within The Fabric Boutique,
5 Rushtons Yard, Ashby de la Zouch, Leicestershire, LE65 1AL
The studio is accessed via a flight of stairs. There is a toilet and wash basin within the studio.
During your visit, you’re welcome to browse the shop for fabrics and supplies — and if you spend over £25 on the day of your workshop, you’ll receive 10% off your purchase.

Please note the nearby Rushtons Yard car park has a maximum stay of 3 hours (charges applies).
⏰ Arrival & booking
Please arrive at least 10 minutes before your session so we can begin promptly.
Pre-booking is essential, as places are limited and secured upon full payment. Bookings can be made via the website or in-store.

• Places are confirmed once payment has been made in full
• Fabric Boutique gift cards can be used as full or part payment
• Workshops are for ages 18+
• A minimum of 3 participants is required for the workshop to run
• All bookings are subject to our cancellation policy

• If we cancel the workshop, a full refund will be issued
• Cancellations made 14+ days in advance are eligible for a full refund or transfer
• Cancellations within 14 days are non-refundable
• Refunds are processed immediately (please allow up to one week for funds to return)
