Description
This lovely zip-up bag workshop is the perfect next step once you’re confident using a sewing machine. You’ll create a beautiful and practical pouch—ideal for storing sewing tools, makeup, or stationery, and perfect as a thoughtful handmade gift.
Saturday 30th May 12.30 - 4.30pm
Carefully designed to build your skills, this class introduces a range of essential sewing techniques in a relaxed and supportive environment. It’s also a wonderful way to spend a creative afternoon.
During the workshop, you will learn how to:
• Cut fabric to accurate measurements
• Use iron-on fleece
• Pin and sew seams
• Create box corners
• Quilt the back of the bag
• Insert a zip
• Add simple patchwork to the front (time permitting)
By the end of the session, you’ll have made your own finished bag to take home. Most participants do complete their project during the workshop; however, as everyone works at their own pace, completion can vary. Any remaining steps will be clearly explained so you can confidently finish your piece at home.
Please note: This class is not suitable for complete beginners. You should already be familiar with using a sewing machine.
