Description
Join us in the Sewing Studio at The Fabric Boutique for a delightful day of sewing, learning, and creating as you make either the Patina Blouse or the Sagebrush Top by the Friday Pattern Company.
The Friday Pattern Company is renowned for its beautifully designed, inclusive sewing patterns that are stylish, wearable, and easy to follow. Their patterns make sewing enjoyable while helping you build confidence and develop your skills.
Both the Patina Blouse and the Sagebrush Top are versatile, wearable pieces that are fun to make and a joy to wear. You can choose the project that suits your style and experience level, with expert guidance from our tutor throughout the day.
• Patina Blouse: A collared V-neck button-up top with two sleeve options. Perfect for confident beginners, it introduces techniques like sewing a collar and button plackets, including buttonholes.
• Sagebrush Top: A relaxed pull-on blouse with soft gathers across the front, statement puff sleeves, and a delicate tie detail at the back neckline. Comfortable to wear and ideal for beginners or those seeking a simpler make.
Led by experienced sewing teacher Emma Smith, the workshop is designed to build your skills at a steady, supportive pace. Emma is known for her patient, attentive approach and will guide you through every step – from selecting the correct size to making adjustments and perfecting the fit.
The workshop runs for 7 hours, including plenty of guidance and time to ask questions. The price includes your chosen paper pattern, which you can take home to sew again and again.
This workshop is suitable for beginners to confident beginners and intermediate sewers who are comfortable using a sewing machine and following a pattern. Emma will help you choose the pattern that best suits your experience and guide you throughout the day.
We recommend light to medium weight woven fabrics such as viscose, viscose/linen blends, chambray, cotton, or cotton blends. If you need help selecting fabric, we’re happy to advise, and you’re welcome to arrive 30 minutes early to browse our shop before the workshop begins.
