Step into a cosy Village Life with Tilda’s sweet, vintage-inspired prints, reminiscent of old wallpapers and pretty dresses.
Village Life is a beautiful collection of richly coloured prints with two distinct colour stories. The Autumn palette combines warm Rust and Ochre tones with Teal Greens, while the cooler Winter palette brings together Burgundy and Blues. The colours are wonderfully saturated, giving the whole collection a crisp, distinctive feel while still retaining that unmistakable Tilda charm.
Designed by Tone Finnanger, the collection takes its inspiration from village life, with nostalgic florals and vintage-style patterns alongside smaller coordinating prints and a delightful feature fabric depicting a little village.
Made from Tilda’s premium 100% cotton, the quality is superb. It has a lovely smooth handle and beautiful finish, making it particularly suited to patchwork and quilting. Use it to create a special quilt or heirloom piece, mix the prints for patchwork cushions, or turn them into quilted jackets, bags, box pouches, project bags, Kindle and tablet covers, fabric baskets, table runners, placemats or wall hangings.
And it certainly doesn’t have to stay in the quilting room. These gorgeous prints can also be used for dressmaking, particularly shirts, blouses, dresses, skirts and other garments where you want the print to take centre stage. The Village Life catalogue itself even features beautiful quilted jackets made from the collection.
