A beautifully balanced linen viscose blend that gives you the best of both fibres. On first glance it has all the character of a classic linen – that natural slub texture, the slightly irregular weave and the relaxed, organic look that linen is so loved for. But when you touch it, there’s an added softness that makes all the difference.
The viscose content brings a gentle fluidity and softness to the handle, softening the linen texture and giving the fabric a more comfortable, wearable feel. It also adds a subtle drape, so while it still has enough body to hold shape, it moves more easily than a pure linen. Breathable and made from natural fibres, it’s perfect for warm weather and feels cool and comfortable against the skin.
The print is a watercolour-style design made up of layered splodges and spots of colour in a really striking palette. Purples and pinks sit alongside more muted, softened tones where the pigment naturally breaks and fades, giving that characteristic watercolour diffusion. These are lifted with vibrant accents of turquoise, teal, inky indigo and pops of sunshine yellow, creating a bold yet beautifully balanced colour mix.
Because of the watercolour effect, the colours blend and bleed gently into one another, giving the fabric a relaxed, artistic feel without being overly busy.
This is a wonderfully versatile fabric to sew with. The linen content gives it enough weight and structure for more tailored styles, while the viscose allows for movement and softness, making it equally suited to more fluid silhouettes.
