If we receive your order before 1pm Tuesday – Friday, we aim to dispatch your order the same day.
Orders placed after 1pm on Friday and over the weekend will be posted out the following Tuesday. Please be advised that during busy times, dispatch may be up to 48 hours after placing your order. In the unlikely event that your order is out of stock, we shall contact you to advise and if possible, offer either an alternative delivery date or refund.
You will receive email confirmation once your order has been shipped.
We keep proof of postage for all items sent. If a parcel has not arrived with you, please leave up to 10 working days before contacting us. Royal Mail will only consider a parcel lost after 10 working days.
All orders will be shipped in Sugar Cane mailing bags. These bags are produced from a byproduct of sugar cane which was grown in reclaimed wasteland and therefore has no impact on the rainforest. Our bags are fully recyclable and have all the properties of polythene – such as strength and durability, without the harmful properties of using polythene. The Fabric Boutique is committed to finding ways to reduce our carbon footprint, minimise waste, recycle responsibly and source environmentally friendly and sustainable packaging.
UK Orders
Our UK flat rate is £3.50 for Royal Mail Tracked 48.
This service provides end-to-end tracking for peace of mind. With Royal Mail Tracked 48, get your parcel delivered within two to three working days.
If your order is placed before 1pm, we shall endeavour to post the very same day, Tuesday to Friday.
If your order is particularly heavy or high in value, we may opt to send via a courier. We shall advise you of the tracking number.
If you require an alternative service i.e. next day delivery etc, please email us hello@thefabricboutique.co.uk and we shall endeavour to facilitate your request.
Collecting from the shop
You may wish to collect your order from The Fabric Boutique shop in Ashby, rather than have it delivered. If so, please choose the option “Collect from the shop” at the checkout. Collections can be made between 10.30am and 3.30pm Tuesday to Saturday. Please leave 24 hours after ordering before collecting from the shop.
International Shipping
We offer a delivery service to non UK residents. As per our UK customers, we use Royal Mail and dedicated couriers.
Parcels that are under 2kg in weight will be sent via Royal Mail International Tracked. Parcels sent via International Tracked have a delivery time of 3-5 days from day of dispatch for Europe and 5-7 days for non European destinations.
Parcels are fully tracked to delivery point. A confirmation email and tracking number will be sent once the parcel is booked in.
Prices for parcels under 2kg weight are as follows:
- Europe flat rate is £20.00
- USA flat rate is £30.00
- Canada flat rate is £30.00
- Australia, New Zealand and Singapore flat rate is £35.00
- Rest of the World is £30.00
*Parcels that are over 2kg will be sent via a courier. Please be advised that prices for international shipping vary – mainly due to the dimensions and weight of the parcel and insurance costs. I will always insist on full insurance. If your parcel exceeds the cost for flat rate shipping, I shall email you to see if you wish to proceed, as there may be extra charges incurred. You will have the opportunity to cancel your order should you wish.
Please note, any customs charges – duties and taxes that may be incurred – are the responsibility of the customer. All documentation required by Customs will be dispatched appropriately with your order.
Returns
Returns
All fabric is cut to our customers specifications and are therefore regarded as tailor made. Fabric cannot be returned for exchange or refund unless faulty.
Please be advised that whilst we strive to show a true representation of our fabrics on our website and social media, colours can be very hard to capture. If in any doubt, please request samples – we offer up to 3 samples free of charge. Please email hello@thefabricboutique.co.uk for sample requests using the SKU codes for reference.
In the unlikely event that your goods arrive with you and are damaged, please contact us via email at hello@thefabricboutique.co.uk within 48 hours of receiving the goods. Please include within the email, details of the damage and photographs. Please do not return items without contacting us via email prior. We will advise you how to proceed upon receipt of your email.
All returned fabric must be in the original condition – the fabric must not be washed or cut. Once we have received the returns back, we will email you to confirm receipt. Please note – we cannot accept returns on goods that have been damaged in transit.
Any shipping costs incurred when returning damaged goods will be reimbursed and replacement goods sent at no extra cost within 48 hours of the damaged goods being received by us, providing we still have stock of the fabric. If the fabric is sold out, a full refund will be given.
If a refund is approved, credit will be applied to your method of payment within 5 working days.
This does not affect your statutory rights.

Our fabrics are sold by the half metre. If you need 1.5m for example, enter 3 in the quantity box.
All prices are shown in Pounds Sterling.
While we strive to ensure high quality images of all our products, it can be difficult to get colours to be accurately represented.
Before paying for items on the website, customers will be given the option of registering to create an account with The Fabric Boutique. Although it’s optional to have an account, having one means that your checkout experience is much quicker. You can also view your purchase history.
When you select products you wish to purchase they will be added to your shopping cart. If you wish to delete any items or edit quantities this can be carried out at the checkout stage. We use the Square payment gateway to process our online payments which is a fully secure service, we are PCI compliant and have regular security scans performed by Security Metrics.
The Fabric Boutique customers can pay using ApplePay, GooglePay and all major credit and debit cards including AMEX.

Please note that completion of the online checkout process does not constitute our acceptance of your offer to purchase products or services from us. Our acceptance of your order will take place only when we dispatch the product(s) or commencement of the services that you ordered from us, no contract will have formed between us the supplier and you the customer, up until that point.
We will notify you by email as soon as possible to acknowledge that we have received and are processing your order.
We aim to be able to supply all goods ordered at the prices stated. If we are unable to fulfil this and cannot supply you with the product or service you ordered, we will not process your order, inform you of this in writing (via email) and, if you have already paid for the product or service, refund you in full as soon as reasonably possible.

Pre-washing fabric is really a personal choice but we do recommend pre-washing on a warm, short and gentle cycle with a mild detergent especially if the fabric is a bright or dark colour or if there is any linen content in your fabric. If you are combining several different types of fabric in the same project then it is defiantly worth pre-washing.
Fabrics with a higher wool content should be steamed as washing may not be suitable. Please note that we cannot accept responsibility for any fabric shrinkage. Please take into consideration the possibility that fabrics can shrink when measuring up for projects.

If your goods are damaged please contact us via email at hello@thefabricboutique.co.uk within 48 hours of receiving the goods and we will advise you on how to proceed. All returned items must be accompanied with a description of the damage.
Any shipping costs incurred when returning damaged goods will be reimbursed and replacement goods sent at no extra cost within 48 hours of the damaged goods being received by us, providing we still have stock of the fabric. If the fabric is sold out, a full refund will be given.
