Broderie anglaise (French, “English embroidery”) is a whitework needlework technique incorporating features of embroidery, cutwork and needle lace that became associated with England, due to its popularity there in the 19th century.

This fine cotton lawn has a pretty cutwork and embroidery pattern in a tiny floral/petal pattern.
As this has cut out areas and is quite fine, you may wish to line your garments. I’d recommend my “suprima cotton lawn” as a lining (should you decide to use a lining).  This is of course personal preference. I have included a photo of my hand under the fabric for reference.
