This dead stock Sashiko inspired fabric is a beautiful shade of pale dusky pink.

The fabric is a wonderful weight – much like a poplin weight. It holds some structure, yet it is soft. Throughout the fabric is a small stitched “dash” in white. The effect is very striking!

As this fabric is a little heavier than say a lawn, it will make up into wonderful jackets, gilets, waistcoats, dresses, skirts, tops etc Perfect for volume and structure. It is reminiscent of a cotton gauze but slightly heavier and with a tighter weave.

I suspect green fabric itself is 100% cotton, with the woven stitch detail being a polyester yarn.
