A delightful fabric that has the appearance of linen.

Ramie is a strong and durable fabric that is derived from a nettle plant, known as Boehmeria nivea.  Native to Asia, the yarns from this plant have been used for over 6,000 years. As it is a natural derivative, Ramie fabric is biodegradable, sustainable and regenerative.

As a fabric, Ramie has the appearance of linen. You will see a gentle slub.  Like linen, it holds structure and some shape.
This particular Ramie is a light to mid-weight, making it perfect for dresses, trousers, skirts, shirts, jackets etc. It has very gentle drape. It is opaque. There is a lovely texture to this fabric.

Comfortable to wear – it’s highly absorbent, quick drying and breathable. There is a softness to it from the blended cotton.

This is a beautiful heather/clover colour.
