Ponte is a heavier knit jersey than a regular jersey as it is a double knit. As it’s heavier, it has a little more structure.This fabric has approximately 20% stretch from selvedge to selvedge – this is really a mechanical stretch as it doesn’t contain elastane.

Ponte is perfect for dresses, skirts, trousers, tops etc. I can imagine a Cashmerette Rivermont Dress, Tilly and the Buttons Billie Sweater or Dress, Grainline Lark Tee etc to name but a few.
